No Complex Budget

Same income, very different month

Nothing about your paycheck changes. Everything about what's left does.

Why budgeting never stuck

Every budget asks you to give things up. The question nobody could ever answer was whether it was actually worth it.

The problem was never the cutting back.

It was making a payoff worth it.

Ex Traditional Budgeter

Abigail's never going back.

Abigail is a business owner. Super disciplined. Loves her spreadsheets. She still couldn't keep up. She tried EveryDollar. "I paid for the whole year and it's awful. If I've got a lot going on, it'll be like 3 months since I've typed out every transaction and categorized them all."

Her verdict on traditional budgeting: "Hello, unrealistic expectation of yourself."

So she quit tracking and started keeping.

I'll never go back."

Managing Subscriptions Becomes So Simple

I'm no longer letting dollars slip through.

One of her favorite features is how easy finding, tracking and reducing recurring spending becomes.

"It makes the subscriptions so obvious... I can easily find them. It's not like buried under a mound of Tito's and Chick-fil-A."

One person, both futures

Abigail lived both sides of this.

"It takes the friction out of it.

I'll never go back."

She paid for a full year of EveryDollar and hated every minute. Ramsey's version, in her words: "unrealistic expectations of yourself, and more counseling." Like most people, she'd fall off, then go three months without typing out a single transaction, quietly overspending the whole time.

Then she switched. A few weeks in, her rent and a new washer-and-dryer rental added $263 a month in costs out of nowhere. Here's what used to be a crisis:

What $263 in new bills looked like

One hour. Everything still fine.

She moved the rental onto her recurring account, scanned her subscriptions, cut the ones she didn't need, and adjusted her weekly everyday number. Done. "Most people would be like, how are we going to afford this? I gotta get another job." Instead: one hour, and it was handled.

A Sneak Peak At The Magic

How this works

We restructure your accounts so the only spending you ever think about is what you actually swipe, and it resets every week. Something strange happens once it's running: you get greedy to underspend.

Your balance becomes your budget.

One glance tells you where you stand this week. The mental math you were already doing finally starts being right. No logging, no categories to maintain.

Five simple accounts.

Two weekly numbers.

Your money sorts itself, so the balance always tells the truth. Even a shared household stays clear, with guilt-free Fun Money for each of you.

The cycle shrinks to one week.

Skip the takeout Tuesday, see the proof by Saturday, and move what you kept somewhere that matters. The reward arrives fast enough to feel, instead of dissolving into the end-of-month fog.

We don't fight the instinct.

We make the mental math easy.

It comes down to five simple accounts and two weekly numbers. But the accounts aren't the magic. The magic is the specific way they connect, and one weekly move most people have never heard of. It takes about ten minutes to set up, and inside, we do it with you, step by step.

Most people find around $600 a year sitting in dead recurring charges in the first week alone. And yes, it works with credit cards: master the method first, then we show you how to bring them back in.

One person, both futures

This was never really about your bank accounts.

Setting them up takes ten minutes. But the change underneath is the whole point: it's about the instinct behind every dollar you spend.

Spending isn't math. It's habit. And habits, once you change the one they all hang on, move faster than you'd believe. The patterns you were sure you'd carry for life start shifting in weeks, not years. That's what a keystone habit does: you change one thing, and it quietly rewires everything around it.

That's the KeptMoney Challenge. It doesn't organize your money. It rewires how your household spends, until keeping more stops being discipline and starts being who you are. You get greedy to underspend, and you stay that way.

Which is why we don't hand you a setup and wave goodbye. We teach you how to live it: how to run your week, how to Celebrate, how to build the instinct until it runs on its own.

Ask anyone who's done it.

Nobody goes back.

Who's behind this

About the founders.

Tyler is the founder of Quit Overspending, driven by helping people win in business, finance, and life. He comes from a finance-minded family, and even then the high-detail, track-every-transaction approach never stuck for him.

A love of people, the habit science behind real long-term change, the pressure of raising a family of five, and running businesses through double-digit inflation finally pushed him to build a system that actually held.

Tyler lives in Tennessee with his wife Kaci and their three kids, where the method survives real family life every single day.

The honest deal

Why it's discounted, and what we ask back.

Early access is discounted because we want two things back: that you actually use it, and that you tell us the truth about what's working and what isn't. That's the whole trade. Your honesty helps us build it right before we charge anyone full price. Make no mistake, we know the value it can bring as we've lived it.

Early access closes before our public launch. After that, all access will be full price paid users.

Before you ask

The stuff you're actually wondering.

Where is the training?

The training is delivered through PDF's, video tutorials and guided implementation with our team. You'll be granted access to your membership area where you can access all the available training as well as ask questions in our members area.

Do I have to track every transaction?

No. That's the whole point. You don't log, categorize, or reconcile anything. You glance at a balance. If "track everything, forever" is what wore you down before, this is the opposite of that.

I've failed every budget I've tried. Why would this be different?

Because this isn't a budget. Budgets run on prediction and willpower, forever, and that's why they break. This runs on your bank balance and a weekly rhythm, so it keeps working on the days your willpower doesn't. The reason budgeting broke you is the reason this holds.

What is The KeptMoney Method?

The KeptMoney Method is a financial spending management framework designed to eliminate low-satisfaction spending and help households KEEP more of their earnings through intuitive weekly spending limits and automated banking structures, and a dramatically simplified tracking environment.

Do I have to switch banks or open a pile of accounts?

No. You use the bank you already have, setup runs about ten minutes from your phone, and your main checking stays put. We keep it fee-free and walk you through every step.

Can I keep using my current app (YNAB, Monarch, Rocket Money)?

Keep it. This layers on top of whatever you use. Your app is great at telling you where money went. This is what actually keeps it. They work together.

What about credit cards?

It works with credit cards. We just have you master the method first, then show you how to bring them back so the points never cost you control. First things first.

Does my spouse have to be on board?

It's built for two. You each get your own Fun Money so nobody's the bad guy, and we give you a simple way to show a skeptical spouse why this is different, without a lecture.

Is my financial data safe?

Yes. Your data stays on your device, the connection is read-only, and we can never touch or move your money.

So is this like a budget app?

No, traditional budgeting apps rely on a heavy spending categorization model to create clarity and spending control. The KMM uses a system and habit reinforcement based approach that works underneath your typical budget apps. Quit Overspending is in the process of developing it's own app to bring an app delivered KeptMoney method experience.

Can I learn more before committing?

Absolutely. Sign up here and you'll be invited to book a short call to discuss the method, answer any questions, ensure fit before moving forward. You'll also get access to a quick walkthrough of the method mechanics via PDF so you can plan your next steps.

How much does this cost and what are the discounts?

We're still determining the long term costs of the KMM90 training, the members community and guided implementation. Expected costs could range between a few hundred to a few thousand dollars per household. The current discounted rates are designed to allow nearly all to gain access for less than $40. One thing we know already is the value is well beyond $500 in savings for the average user as new members typically cancel $600/yr in unused/forgotten recurring costs in just the first few weeks. That's only the beginning of the impacts you'll see with the method.

If you've read this far, you already know budgeting isn't going to fix itself. The method is discounted while it's in Early Access. Try it.

The 15.5% figure reflects a spending-awareness gap from peer-reviewed research (Journal of Marketing Research, 2022), not a guaranteed savings rate.
